Maria Santodomingo
I’m Maria, originally from Colombia, and I found yoga while exploring how inner awareness could guide my actions and help me live with more intention. With a background in sociology and a deep interest in philosophy, yoga became a path to presence, a way to feel the body as part of the greater web of all sentient life. For me, yoga is not just a physical practice, but a space to listen, to return, and to remember what is essential. It helps me navigate life with more softness, clarity, and connection. I’ve completed a 200-hour Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher training and studied Hatha Yoga during a period of immersion in Nepal. My practice is rooted in understanding the mind and cultivating a gentle awareness of interbeing—both on and off the mat. I’ve also studied Buddhism and Indigenous Knowledge, which continue to shape the way I move, teach, and relate to the world. I’m currently studying and teaching at Ashtanga Yoga Berlin under the guidance of Grischa Steffin, while continuing to develop a holistic and embodied approach to yoga.
